LAW REVIEW

Preparation for the Bar Exam starts from the moment one decided to enroll in law school. Once enrolled, the formal training begins. Conquer every subject in every semester as if conquering the Bar Exam. That should be the mindset. That should be the goal.

Make sure to read and understand every subject before leaving the semester. Never aim in finishing the reading backlogs during Bar Review. That would be futile. The limited time for Bar Review should be invested in reinforcing and updating, not for first time learnings.

In 2017, the Bar Examination is composed of eight (8) main subjects administered in four (4) Sundays of November. The first Sunday is Political and International Law (15%) in the morning and Labor Law (10%) in the afternoon. The second Sunday is Civil Law (15%) in the morning and Taxation Law (10%) in the afternoon. The third Sunday is Commercial Law (15%) in the morning and Criminal Law (10%) in the afternoon. The fourth Sunday is Remedial Law (20%) in the morning and Labor Law (5%) in the afternoon. Note that these schedules and percentage distribution have already been amended since the pandemic.
